These people … LONG POST AHEAD!
I don’t even know what to say about our amazing #Misadventures deep in the woods of Canada. I have no words that can adequately describe everything. I needed this weekend with friends filled with laughter and awesomesauce.
Sara your accent is adorbs. Ask her to say “PIN HER” because it’s funny as hell and comes out so fuckin’ dirty. Then, every time she called Brock’s name it sounded more like Brook which made me laughing my ass off. Your images from last weekend are stunning and I can’t wait for the rest of the world to see them!
Meredith, my sweet, you’re an amazing friend. Thanks for inviting me on the journey of publishing with Waterhouse Press. Thank you for including me in such an amazing weekend because you didn’t have to but you did because you love me! It’s one I’ll never forget. Thank you for picking the bugs out of my hair like my monkey sister. I also learned who to go to when I need my clothes ironed…You’re the queen of ironing in my book. You make a pretty mean grilled cheese too!
Then there’s Jon Mac… the man has more energy than anyone I know. I was exhausted just watching him, but his enthusiasm was infectious. His driving is a little , but we survived the country roads and animal encounters. The man drove away a forest of bugs with the amount of bug spray he used during the shoot. Who said you can’t control nature? They surely never met Jon… that’s for sure.
Marilou, your excitement and playfulness is contagious. Thank you for helping bring Madison to life. You’re not only beautiful on the outside, but so much more on the inside. Your free spirit and lightness made what could’ve been an awkward situation so much fun and easy. You’re a rockstar in my book.
Brian, thanks for hiking your ass up that mountain and enduring the bug bites with me. I wasn’t sure we’d both survive the ascent to the remote cabin, but we made it somehow. Love ya bunches for being at my side. PS – thanks for keeping your eyes on the road and keeping me safe.
Pamela, thanks for spending time with us and making sure Marilou’s makeup was perfect. Honestly, I could’ve used a little touching up, but I wasn’t the main attraction It’s always a pleasure to see you and I can’t wait to reveal your cover in 2018.
Brock O’Hurn, thanks for rolling with the punches and never looking at us like we were completely insane for two days. We aren’t. I swear, well, maybe just a little. We’re writers after all. We created a love story and watching the scenes play out before us was unreal. You were a good sport and yes, people… he is nice… and tall.
So that’s it.
Not really, but that’s all I’m willing to share for now. I wish I could share everything that happened over the 4 days, but there’s just so much that I could fill a novel, but instead most of it will stay between friends.
More pictures will release soon, so be on the lookout.
I know there were so many amazing moments captured by everyone and we can’t wait to share them with you. Trust me… it was probably the best thing ever that we didn’t have wifi or cell service all weekend.
That’s the end of this post about the SECRET SHIT we were up to in LaBelle, Canada.
and Mom, I know. I should’ve dyed my roots. I see them and so does the rest of the world.
